Welcome back all our northern members, nice to have you home We at Indian River Woodcarvers are looking forward to the return of our northern members, although we have had a good turn out at our Thursday get together s, approx. 20 members each week. Today we had 23.
We have picked a few new members. We have had a couple people that have moved here permanently and just don't want to make the trip back and forth anymore. Our Purple Heart Cane Project is going strong. Our next presentation is scheduled for January 16th 2016 at the Navy Seal Museum. Our club lost a friend and good woodcarver this week. Ron Smith passed away May 5, 2015.
He will be missed by all who knew him. Gerry is one of the founders of IRWC
He is moving, full time to NC, he has been spending the summers there, and winter here for several years. Gerry has contributed a lot time and advice to our members. We hope to see him again. Enjoy the mountains Gerry. We had a very good turnout, yesterday. 52 members were in attendance.
This our first attempt of creating a website for our carving club
